I'm Hugo, a French pro kitesurfer with a sharp eye for wind, spots and real progression.
My first kite tack happened in Cabarete in 2001. My father gave me the taste for kitesurfing very early, but also the desire to go ride the world's most iconic spots.
Before coaching full time, I also spent years working as a manager. That part of my path taught me a lot about people: how to help them grow, how to keep objectives clear and how to build confidence without killing the vibe.
After all these years between destinations, I feel like a citizen of the world. I feel at home in those mythical places where I have built strong ties and a deep understanding of the water.
From wakeboard and surf to kite, everything slowly brought me to full-time coaching. Today what I love most is helping riders progress faster while keeping flow, fun and confidence alive.
On every trip I bring that global spot culture with me: cleaner reads on the conditions, smarter day-to-day calls and a way of making people feel both looked after and genuinely pushed when it matters.
